Japanese language: translations
Who speaks Japanese?
Japanese does not belong to any language family.
It is a so-called isolated language. This means that scholars have not been able to find proven links to other known languages. It is used by approximately 130 million people, especially people from Japan, but also by Japanese immigrants.
The Japanese language has official status in only two places in the world – Japan and Palau (specifically, the state of Angaur).
History of the Japanese language
We know very little about the origins of the Japanese language and modern theories are often at odds with each other. The oldest sophisticated Japanese texts come from the 8th century AD. It is known that the Japanese language of this period differed significantly from the current form of the language. Some syllables were written with different characters, there were more vowels in the language and their length was not distinguished.
Using Japanese in business
Japan is a very strong and important economy in the international arena – both in terms of technology and industry and services. After the war, Japan opened its market to international contacts, which helped its dynamic development. The use of Japanese will be useful in business relations with this country, but also in the international arena, where Japan is playing an increasingly important role.
